Hippotherapy
Hippotherapy is one of the key initiatives of the HeartVir team aimed at supporting veterans and their families. As part of this program, free classes were organized in cooperation with the Kazka equestrian club, where veterans have the opportunity not only to recover physically, but also to find inner harmony and reduce stress levels. Hippotherapy, which includes therapeutic exercises with horses, helps improve coordination, strengthen muscles and develop a sense of balance. However, its greatest effect lies in psychological recovery, as interaction with horses helps overcome anxiety, reduces the level of post-traumatic stress and promotes emotional stability.
Veteran Roman Goviyny, who defended Chernihiv during the war, is one example of how this technique works in practice. After completing his service, he underwent specialized training in hippotherapy in Zhytomyr to master the techniques of assistance through horse therapy. Today he works as a hippotherapy therapist, helping other veterans and their families overcome the physical and psychological effects of war, restoring their strength and self-confidence. For many, horse riding has become not only a way to restore health, but also an important part of their lives, helping them feel supported and understood.
