The Veterans’ Theater “Sercevir”
The Veterans’ Theater “Sercevir” Launched in Chernihiv

In 2025, the Veterans’ Theater “Sercevir” began its work in Chernihiv — a space for creative rehabilitation, self-expression, and collaborative engagement of veterans through theatrical art and drama therapy.
Theater as a Path to Recovery
The Veterans’ Theater “Sercevir” is not only an artistic project, but also a tool for psychological support, social adaptation, and drama therapy, opening new opportunities for veterans through collective creative activity.
The theater’s first production was a performative reading of the play “Hospital Rhapsody” by playwright Yurii Vietkin. The presentation took place at the Chernihiv Puppet Theater for the relatives and loved ones of the veteran participants, as well as for everyone who wished to attend the event.
About the Performance “Hospital Rhapsody”
“Hospital Rhapsody” is a documentary drama about Chernihiv in March 2022 — about war, pain, support, and the strength of the human spirit. Through stage imagery, veterans convey their personal experiences, emotions, and inner transformations, working with them in a safe theatrical and drama therapy format.
