Art Outpost
“Artistic Outpost” is a unique project that combines rehabilitation through art, aimed at creating a close-knit community among veterans and their families. This project not only supports the physical and mental health of participants, but also helps improve family relationships through an innovative approach that integrates art therapy, forum theater, and active group work. Participants get the opportunity not only to write scripts and play them on stage, but also to experience all emotions together in a safe environment where everyone can express their experiences.
As part of the “Artistic Outpost”, a space has been created where veterans and their families can feel the support of like-minded people and find new strength to overcome the challenges they face every day. Experienced psychologists work during the events, helping participants better understand themselves and their emotions, personal development trainings are held, and important topics are discussed among people with similar experiences. These meetings help build trust and strengthen relationships between participants.
The project was made possible by the combined efforts of the NGO “Chernihiv European” and the NGO “ASU Sertsevir”, technical support from ISAR Unity and assistance from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine. Financial support from the European Union within the framework of the initiative “EU4Recovery – Empowering Communities in Ukraine” and assistance from the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands made the implementation of this project possible, contributing to the creation of a solid platform for the rehabilitation and personal development of veterans.
